Sports car performance

The heart of the Audi S4 Avant is the newly developed V6 engine with direct fuel injection and turbocharging. Increased performance and less weight ensure that the S4 Avant is also particularly efficient at less than 7.5 l/100 km. The 260 kW (354 hp) provide that true sports car character.

The 3.0 TFSI draws its power from a 2995 cc cylinder capacity, thus accelerating in just 4.9 seconds from 0 to 100 km/h. Its 500 Nm of torque is available across a wide speed range of 1300 to 4500 1/min.

The drivetrain and chassis of the S4 Avant were also completely redeveloped. The standard configuration eight-speed tiptronic shifts quickly and spontaneously. The lower gears are short for a sporty feel, while the higher gears have a long transmission ratio to reduce revs and consumption. A wide range of assistance systems ensures that efficiency isn't short-changed despite the sporty driving experience.

The quattro permanent four-wheel drive is designed to be slightly tail-heavy in regular driving. However, if necessary the force will be distributed to the respective axle with lightning speed. The torque vectoring also contributes to ideal load distribution, and among other things provides ideal traction via dynamic cornering with targeted delays.

Audi drive select

The standard configuration Audi drive select, for example accesses the engine and transmission, enabling the driver to individually customize handling characteristics at the push of a button. In addition to the standard configuration modes of comfort, auto, dynamic, and efficiency, the individual mode is also available in conjunction with an optional navigation system.
