The Audi S7 Sportback is powered by a sporty diesel engine. The 450 hp 2.9 V6 170 g/km (273.6 mpg)) with a torque of 700 Newton metres (516.3 lb-ft) accelerates the vehicle from 0 to 100 km/h (0 to 62.1 mph) in 5.1 seconds. The standard four-wheel-drive quattro transmits the power to the road. An optional sport differential on the rear axle improves the vehicle's positioning when cornering.

Background assistance

Experience assisted driving at a high level in the Audi S7 Sportback¹. The data collected by radar systems, surrounding cameras and ultrasonic sensors is stored in the central driver assistance control unit. This control unit provides you with a constant overview of your surroundings and is the interface for numerous optional driver assistance systems. The Audi pre sense basic takes measures, for example tightening the seat belts, for preventive protection in critical driving situations such as emergency braking or hazardous dynamic situations within the system limits. The optional night vision assist mitigates poor visibility conditions. The system recognises people and larger animals in the dark and highlights them yellow in the optional Audi virtual cockpit. The colour changes to red in immediate danger. You can also opt for optional and preconfigured assistance packages that, for example, assist with parking or city traffic.
