Motorshow highlights A brief review

The top attraction at the Audi stand in Geneva was the world premiere of the Audi A6 allroad quattro. Offering outstanding on-road driving dynamics and additional off-road capabilities, the Audi A6 allroad quattro is the most expressive way of driving an A6 Avant – on any road surface.

Powerful latest-generation TDI and FSI engines, quattro permanent four-wheel drive and adaptive air suspension with a choice of five modes fulfil the promise made by the expressive and individual design: unforgettable driving pleasure.

A further highlight at the Motor Show was the world premiere of the Audi RS 4 Cabriolet. Uniting the performance of a sports car and the comfort of a soft-top four-seater, the irresistable Audi Cabriolet is unique in its class.

In conjunction with DRC suspension, 6-speed manual gearbox and quattro permanent four-wheel drive, its 4.2-litre V8 engine with a high-revving concept delivers an enthralling output potential (309 kW/420 bhp). This member of the RS family makes the sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.9 seconds. With the generous use of carbon fibre and aluminium, the exclusive interior accentuates the RS 4 Cabriolet’s proximity to motor sport.

Das überlegene Leistungsvermögen des Audi S8 resultiert aus der perfekten Abstimmung aller Komponenten. Dazu gehören unter anderem Allradantrieb quattro, adaptive air suspension sowie konsequenter Aluminium-Leichtbau.

The top highlights of the Audi exhibition stand were the world premiere of the Audi Q7 and the unveiling of the Audi Q7 hybrid concept. The Audi Q7 is the first third-generation premium SUV and is notable for its dynamic design and two powerful engines with quattro four-wheel drive.

The 4.2 FSI eight-cylinder petrol engine with efficient petrol direct injection develops 257 kW (350 bhp). The high-torque 3.0-litre V6 TDI engine develops 500 Nm of torque and 171 kW (233 bhp). Diesel particulate filters are fitted as standard on both engines.

Specially developed for the most important motor show in the USA, the allroad quattro concept had its first showing in the year that marks “25 years of quattro”.

This crossover study combines the functionality and elegance of an Avant with the dynamism of an off-roader. It features a newly developed 4.0-litre V8 TDI engine and pioneering technology. The study serves as a technology demonstrator for innovative electronic systems.
