Audi Art ExperienceWith considerable experience and expertise in the promotion of the arts and culture, AUDI AG has been using the "Audi Art Experience" as a tag for its activities in this area. For many years now, Audi's cultural commitment has been making outstanding artistic performances possible. Outstanding artistic performances World famous music festivals and ground-breaking arts projects take centre-stage in Audi’s promotion of the arts. They are a natural, and not to mention important part of the corporate identity of AUDI AG. Funding is channelled primarily into new, ground-breaking projects or helps to broaden existing projects. Audi's objective is to supplement, rather than replace, the funding that German states and local councils provide for cultural programmes.
By offering numerous sponsorships, Audi has accepted an important responsibility towards society. The company thus lends its support to the interaction of industry and culture, though without attempting to encroach on artistic integrity. Audi's activities to raise cultural awareness attach particular importance to the promotion of young artists. One reason why Audi sponsors such projects is the realisation that technical and artistic processes feed on a common source: creativity.
AUDI AG became the principal sponsor of the Salzburg Festival in 1995. Since 2002 Audi has been sponsoring new productions of the Munich-based Bavarian State Opera. In addition to sponsoring the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival, the Handel Festival in Halle, the Castell de Peralada Festival in Spain and the Merano Music Festival in Italy, Audi has been holding its own summer concerts since 1990.
