Cayman Islands Local Events

Preparations are well underway for the 2008 Cayman Islands Marathon on Sunday December 7th 2008, and the business sector including Audi Cayman Islands is demonstrating its strong sense of community spirit once again by supporting the 26.2 mile race which benefits two very worthwhile charities, the Cadet Corps and the Cancer Society of the Cayman Islands.

May 2008 - Digicel Cayman Islands offered their corporate customers a fun day of golfing and an opportunity to win the new Audi A5 in the hole-in-one competition.

While there were some close calls, no golfer claimed the A5 prize. Nevertheless, all invited guests were presented with an Audi cap, golf towel and invitation to test drive the new A4.

Audi Cayman Islands was pleased to be invited to the second annual 2008 Island Air VIP Cessna Jet Preview Event in February. 800 guests were treated to cocktails, champagne and hors d’oeuvres while viewing boats, jewelry, Cessna aircrafts, the Audi A6 and Audi TT Coupe.

Participating in the 2007 Cayman Islands Marathon is certainly one way to see the island if you are visiting or new to the island but for local resident Craig Arch of Arch Automotive it was more about achieving a personal goal. Craig along with three friends walked 13.1 miles which is half a marathon and not half bad in fact we were all very proud of Craig cheering him on at the Arch Automotive Audi water stop.

Arch Automotive offered their Audi demo car to potential clients and three Audi’s to cast member during the September 18th, 2006 screening of Haven, the locally produced award winning independent film starring Orlando Bloom, whom was present at the Marquee Cinema event.

Columbian Emeralds was a joint venture where local businesses and Audi Cayman Islands contributed to win a trip back to the Cayman Islands and locally supported contest “win a trip to another Caribbean destination.” The promotion ran until October 31st, 2006.

Participating in the annual Cayman Islands jazz festival from November 30th to December 2nd, 2006 was enormously gratifying for Audi Cayman Islands as Natalie Cole was seen driven around in the new Garnet Red Audi Q7 while other guest performers were chauffeured in an Audi A6.
